Iron is an essential micronutrient required by plants for the production of chlorophyll, the green pigment that drives photosynthesis. Without enough iron, plants cannot effectively produce chlorophyll, which results in iron chlorosis, a condition marked by yellowing leaves with prominent green veins. This condition is common in lawns, fruit trees, shrubs, and ornamentals, especially in soils that are alkaline, compacted, waterlogged, or high in calcium.
MaxGreen delivers liquid iron in a highly available form, immediately absorbable by plant roots and foliage. What sets it apart is its inclusion of fulvic acid, a natural organic molecule known for its chelating and transport properties. Fulvic acid binds with nutrients like iron and nitrogen, protecting them from being locked up in the soil and helping them cross plant cell membranes more efficiently. This means plants absorb more, faster, especially under conditions where nutrients are usually unavailable.
Nitrogen (N) in MaxGreen supports lush leaf and shoot development, while sulphur (S) plays a role in protein synthesis and enzyme function. The synergy between these three nutrients, iron, nitrogen, and sulphur, improves plant colour, vitality, and growth rate, especially in stressed or nutrient-deficient conditions.
Together, the bioavailable iron, nitrogen, sulphur, and fulvic acid in MaxGreen create a powerful, fast-acting formula that revitalises tired, yellowing plants and keeps your lawn and garden thriving.

Iron will stain paths, concrete, paving, clothes and skin, so always wear old clothes and gloves, wash hands after use and be carefully precise when applying near concrete and paths etc. Keep away from water sources such as ponds, pools etc. Can cause drying or mild irritation to skin - Rinse with water if contact occurs.
Iron deficiency in many plants & lawns is an indication of high pH or alkaline soil. If yellowing persists or returns rapidly after treatment, soil pH should be checked and adjusted if necessary. Follow application directions as excess liquid iron can lead to other problems, such as zinc and manganese deficiencies. While liquid iron provides immediate relief for plants & soil, it is not an adequate long-term solution for an iron deficiency. Keeping plants/Lawn in well-drained soil amended with sulphur to reduce the pH level can help iron in the soil become more available to plants.
DO NOT SWALLOW. Product may act as an irritant. Avoid inhalation and contact with the eyes & skin. Keep out of reach of children. Store sealed in a cool place.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT MAY FORM SOME SOLIDS THAT CAN BLOCK FINE NOZZLES, MAY HAVE TO STRAIN PRIOR TO FILLING IF CONCERNED. NOT compatible with humic based products.

Iron products can have an adverse reaction with our darker liquids. To avoid blockages in sprayer nozzles, we recommend applying the Iron separately to other products. (Stimulizer is safe to mix with Iron). If attempting to mix together, try a jar test in the ratios you want to apply them in first. Iron should always be added last after all other products are diluted with water.
Applied separately at various frequencies allows you to tailor nutrient input based on the soil/plant/lawn's requirements and condition.
Category | Application Rate | Frequency |
---|---|---|
Turf/Lawn Ornamentals | 150-400ml per 100sqm 10-25ml per 9L |
Monthly in growing season |
Vegetables | 150-300ml per 100sqm | Fortnightly |
Trees, fruit, nut, grapevines | 150-300ml per 100sqm | 6-8 weeks or as required |
Broadacre | 15-40L / Ha | Per program |
Shake well before use. Lightly water in. Apply separately to other products.
Question: Should I water the lawn after applying Max Green or wait 24 hours?
Answer: Foliar uptake can only happen while the leaf is wet. Max Green works best when lightly watered in after application to get into the soil. Environmental factors (time of day it’s applied, wind, precipitation, time left on the leaf, soil pH, etc) can also play a part in how well it works when applied and as these often change, you may experience different results with each application.
Question: Can I mix Max Green with other products?
Answer: Max Green should not be mixed with other products, except for Stimulizer.
