Rapid Green-Up & Nutrient Efficiency for Commercial Lawns, Turf, Gardens, and Orchards

MaxGreen by Plant Doctor is a premium, science-backed liquid fertiliser delivering highly available iron (Fe) and nitrogen (N) for vigorous, deep green foliage. Enhanced with fulvic acid for superior nutrient uptake, MaxGreen quickly corrects iron chlorosis, supports strong plant growth, and integrates seamlessly into professional turf, horticulture, and orchard nutrition programs.

Designed for large-scale applications, MaxGreen performs under challenging conditions, including high-pH soils, calcium-rich profiles, and nutrient-deficient environments.

 Key Benefits for Commercial Use

  • Rapid correction of iron deficiency (chlorosis) for lawns, turf, and crops
  • Promotes strong chlorophyll production for rich, even green colour
  • Nitrogen supports healthy leaf and shoot development
  • Fulvic acid enhances nutrient efficiency and retention
  • Suitable for integration into soil or foliar nutrition programs
  • Compatible with most fertilisers, but always perform a small jar test before blending
  • Eco-friendly, sustainable, and made in Australia

Commercial Applications:

Turf & Lawns (Buffalo, Couch, Kikuyu, Zoysia)

  • Correct yellowing and patchy turf caused by iron deficiency
  • Boost colour and vigour in sportsgrounds, parks, and commercial landscapes
  • Apply via foliar spray or soil drench; ideal for large-scale turf management

Gardens, Ornamentals and Shrubs

  • Revitalise chlorotic shrubs, vines, fruit trees, and ornamental plants
  • Supports overall plant vigour, recovery from nutrient stress, and stronger root development
  • Foliar or soil applications for nurseries, large gardens, and commercial landscaping

Farms, Orchards, and Vineyards

  • Correct iron deficiencies in high-value crops, orchards, vineyards, and tree crops
  • Use as part of integrated nutrient management programs
  • Supports productivity and resilience in alkaline or calcium-rich soils

MaxGreen is suitable for all plant types and soil conditions, but it performs best when soil pH is managed to avoid extreme alkalinity. If yellowing persists despite treatment, test your soil’s pH and adjust as needed. When using MaxGreen in combination with other inputs (like fertilisers, herbicides, or insecticides), always perform a jar test first to ensure compatibility. Avoid application during high temperatures or full sun, and always rinse equipment and exposed surfaces immediately after use to prevent staining from the iron content.

The Science Behind Max Green

Iron is an essential micronutrient required by plants for the production of chlorophyll, the green pigment that drives photosynthesis. Without enough iron, plants cannot effectively produce chlorophyll, which results in iron chlorosis, a condition marked by yellowing leaves with prominent green veins. This condition is common in lawns, fruit trees, shrubs, and ornamentals, especially in soils that are alkaline, compacted, waterlogged, or high in calcium.

MaxGreen delivers liquid iron in a highly available form, immediately absorbable by plant roots and foliage. What sets it apart is its inclusion of fulvic acid, a natural organic molecule known for its chelating and transport properties. Fulvic acid binds with nutrients like iron and nitrogen, protecting them from being locked up in the soil and helping them cross plant cell membranes more efficiently. This means plants absorb more, faster, especially under conditions where nutrients are usually unavailable.

Nitrogen (N) in MaxGreen supports lush leaf and shoot development, while sulphur (S) plays a role in protein synthesis and enzyme function. The synergy between these three nutrients, iron, nitrogen, and sulphur, improves plant colour, vitality, and growth rate, especially in stressed or nutrient-deficient conditions.

Together, the bioavailable iron, nitrogen, sulphur, and fulvic acid in MaxGreen create a powerful, fast-acting formula that revitalises tired, yellowing plants and keeps your lawn and garden thriving.

Usage Notes And Safety Guidelines

Do not spray in hot weather or windy conditions.

Iron will stain paths, concrete, paving, clothes and skin, so always wear old clothes and gloves, wash hands after use and be carefully precise when applying near concrete and paths etc. Keep away from water sources such as ponds, pools etc. Can cause drying or mild irritation to skin - Rinse with water if contact occurs.

Iron deficiency in many plants & lawns is an indication of high pH or alkaline soil. If yellowing persists or returns rapidly after treatment, soil pH should be checked and adjusted if necessary. Follow application directions as excess liquid iron can lead to other problems, such as zinc and manganese deficiencies. While liquid iron provides immediate relief for plants & soil, it is not an adequate long-term solution for an iron deficiency. Keeping plants/Lawn in well-drained soil amended with sulphur to reduce the pH level can help iron in the soil become more available to plants.

DO NOT SWALLOW. Product may act as an irritant. Avoid inhalation and contact with the eyes & skin. Keep out of reach of children. Store sealed in a cool place.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT MAY FORM SOME SOLIDS THAT CAN BLOCK FINE NOZZLES, MAY HAVE TO STRAIN PRIOR TO FILLING IF CONCERNED. NOT compatible with humic based products.

Product Application

Iron products can have an adverse reaction with our darker liquids. To avoid blockages in sprayer nozzles, we recommend applying the Iron separately to other products. (Stimulizer is safe to mix with Iron). If attempting to mix together, try a jar test in the ratios you want to apply them in first. Iron should always be added last after all other products are diluted with water.

Applied separately at various frequencies allows you to tailor nutrient input based on the soil/plant/lawn's requirements and condition.

Application Rate

Category Application Rate Frequency
Turf/Lawn Ornamentals 150-400ml per 100sqm
10-25ml per 9L
Monthly in growing season
Vegetables 150-300ml per 100sqm Fortnightly
Trees, fruit, nut, grapevines 150-300ml per 100sqm 6-8 weeks or as required
Broadacre 15-40L / Ha Per program

Shake well before use. Lightly water in. Apply separately to other products.

Popular Questions

Should I water after applying Max Green or wait before irrigation?

Max Green performs best when lightly watered in after application to move nutrients into the soil, though foliar uptake begins while leaves are wet. Environmental factors such as wind, temperature, and soil pH can affect results. Apply during calm, dry conditions for optimal performance.

Can Max Green be mixed with other products?

For commercial use, apply Max Green separately. It is compatible with Stimulizer, but mixing with other fertilisers or foliar liquids may reduce efficacy or cause reactions. Always conduct a jar test when testing new combinations.

What does Max Green do?

Max Green is a high-nitrogen, iron-rich liquid fertiliser that quickly greens turf, strengthens leaf growth, and corrects iron deficiencies. It enhances colour, vigour, and overall lawn health for commercial and large-scale landscapes.

How often should I apply Max Green?

Frequency depends on grass type, climate, and soil. Professional operators typically apply every 2–4 weeks during the growing season, or as required to maintain deep green colour and healthy growth.

What is the application rate for commercial use?

Follow site-specific rate guidelines and tank dilution protocols. Rates vary depending on turf density, grass type, and delivery system. Always refer to the label or technical sheet for precise calculations.

How quickly will results appear after application?

Visible greening is usually observed within 24–48 hours, depending on soil, weather, and plant condition.

Can Max Green be used on all lawn types?

Yes. It is safe for all common Australian turf species including buffalo, couch, kikuyu, and zoysia.

Is Max Green suitable for use in hot weather?

Apply in the cooler parts of the day—early morning or late afternoon—to reduce stress and leaf burn. Light irrigation post-application can improve absorption in warmer conditions.

Is Max Green safe for pets and children?

Yes. Once applied and allowed to dry or lightly watered in, treated areas are safe for children, pets, and livestock.

Can Max Green be used year-round?

Best applied during active growth periods—spring, summer, and early autumn. Avoid using during dormancy in winter for cool-season turf.
